All of our work is based on extensive research and knowledge of the methods, materials, and techniques of period artisans and craftsmen.  This enables us to conserve unique design components while preserving their original look and feel.  Although we utilize modern technologies to assist in our work, most everything we do is done by hand as it was originally.  We believe that is the subtleties of surface and form as perceived by the human eye that impart the special character to historical structures.  It is the preservation of this “historic patina” that defines our approach
