Operating throughout the Northeast, Blackburn has completed major projects at some of the nation’s most important historic sites including the Breakers and Marble House in Newport RI, the Massachusetts State House and Old South Church in Boston MA. The Principals: Ted Eayrs Ted began working for his father’s restoration business during the 1960’s. After completing a Master’s Degree in Art History at the University of Michigan and working for a time with the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities, Ted assumed control of Blackburn Restoration. Since that time, he has supervised major preservation projects throughout the northeast. Walter Eayrs Walter was exposed to historic preservation at an early age through his father and grandfather. He joined Blackburn Restoration after receiving his Master’s in architectural history and preservation from the University of Virginia. Memberships:
