Description:
This project, completed for the Preservation Society of Newport County, began with the conservation of tompe l’oeil ceiling of the Upper Loggia and continued over the next five years. The scope of work included: cleaning and conservation of the Formal Dining Room and Great Hall ceiling, cleaning and patination of the Great Hall chandeliers and torchieres, preservation of the sconces in the Great Hall, the Music Room, Morning Room, Breakfast Room and Library, restoration of the mahogany doors and surrounds of the first floor, conservation of the fireplace and surround in the Formal Dining Room, and the restoration of the marble gilt bronze chandeliers on the second floor gallery.
